Do you use RT on Twitter if you like a tweet? We bet you do. But how do you see who has been kind enough to retweet (RT) your content?
You can, in fact, use the original twitter platform to see just that. It’s very useful to us at the moment, because we are running a number of twitter based competitions for clients based on RT’s. So I thought it would be good to share with you how to do this, to save you time and enable you to do things more efficiently, freeing you up to make more money, have a bath or go for run/jog if you fancy it….
Here’s what my twitter @ (mentions) stream looks like:
And this is a tweet that @AnnHawkins wrote that included me in it:
But what you can’t tell from this, is that it was re tweeted – RT’d – by someone else. So to see who, if anyone, has RT’d this, hover over the “10 Feb” text on the right hand side – it turns to “open”. Example below, because I’m helpful ;)
And then you click “open” and it shows you who has RT’d that tweet – example below:
And finally, hover over the profile picture of the person who has RT’d the tweet and twitter will show you their name.
So, that’s that. Hope it’s been useful for you – sometimes it’s these little details that make it easier to get things done. And it’s good to share isn’t it? That’s how we’ve learnt plenty of our tricks of the trade. So with that in mind – do you have anything that you’d like us to show you how to do? Or links to “how to’s” that you have found particularly useful?
Fingers crossed someone will want to ask a question or share ….. <nudge nudge>
PS. Just re read this and can see that the screen shots aren’t that clear because I’ve enlarged them. Bugger. I’ll fix it tomorrow if I can be bothered – 80% of something is better than 100% of nothing remember? !!
