It’s here. We are finally sharing something that I’ve been struggling to articulate for quite a while – it’s taken me a long time to do this because I found it hard to articulate it – it’s just who we are and what we do in our everyday consultancy and ongoing content production for clients. I didn’t realise that it was anything that different to what other people do, until we started looking into it!
We’re sharing this as a potential method / structure / format that you can use to craft your content, so that your audience will feel compelled to like, comment, plus, re tweet and share it with their peers and friends. Here’s a 2 minute video we’ve put together to explain what it is and how it works…..
It’s actually quite simple, when you look at it, isn’t it? That’s a good thing. Simple works. We do Simple.
If you can find a way to use all of these elements in one go, within 140 characters on Twitter, or in one sentence on Facebook, then great. We officially salute you. If not, don’t worry – it’s not easy to do from scratch. Our top tip is to instead, pick up the parts that come easiest to you, and go with them. You’ll find that from that base point, you’re able to progress, evolve and iterate your content, according to what your community and wider audience best respond to.
A really easy starting point, is to add a greeting to your content. So long as it’s appropriate to your own tone and the audience you are sharing with, you can say whatever you want. Which of the following will they be most receptive to?
We did some googling on this and couldn’t find anything that we feel is worth sharing. This tells us that your doing this, will have a big impact, because very few other people are doing it. We’re all about getting ahead, especially when it’s easy to do it.
The other easy element of the formula to use, is the call to action. Which of these will work best with your community?
We did some googling on this and found a post with some great examples… Even with our random, non branded, made on canva after a glass of wine images, we’re aware that this formula needs bringing to life – so here are some examples of the formula in action….

Good Morning Waste Managers. Are you all set for your next CSR report? If not, don’t worry, just send us the relevant sections and we’ll provide you with a written report on how your use of our waste services ensures that your carbon emissions targets are being met. If there’s something specific that we can help you with addressing, just let us know – we’re a wealth of knowledge when it comes to statistics, regulatory conforming and meeting the needs of your board. So, what will we help you with first?
Can you now envisage how you might use this formula and elements of it to make your social media content more engaging? What do you respond best to – someone talking directly to you or a generic publication of a message. We’d love to see and hear more of what you’re doing – what’s working, what needs more work and how you think this might be received in your online communities. Please take a moment to share your thoughts on this in the comments below.
