Chelle’s back and is switching off! But she has come back with thinking about the language of business….
I am losing faith with this programme. Maybe it is time for me to switch off now? And still there I am watching the programme in the hope of seeing that spark from someone that I hope I show to others. Or maybe to spark some ideas for me?
This week saw the team trying to sell street art from anyone from corporate to collectors. The first thing the teams had to do was get an in with the artists to be their distributer of choice.
This has got me thinking and please keep reading while I go off on a tangent…how do we sell ourselves as a distributor to the people we’d love to work with. How do we sell our services/products affectively and what confidence do we show in our own ability.
So this weeks The Apprentice may be have shown us a mix of flattery and strategic. I think that it might be trying to show us what we already know. Do you speak the right language in your business or do you find it hard to be creative to get what you want?
I’ve had conversations with many about business jargon, social media slang and thinking about how to simplify things for others. Having spoken to Liz for over 18 months about how complicated social media can feel to others it can feel like a landline with buzz words and cliques.
So what buzz words do you love to use and which ones are the graters? Do you love death by powerpoint, do you know your hashtags and do you know how to network online? How have you embraced social media?
If you feel lost online why not contact Weston Communications – we can help you find the way that is right for you!
